Digital Jetzt funding program & investment funding up to 55% for SMEs by Federal Govt. of Germany

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the program "Digital Jetzt - Investment Funding for SMEs " so that medium-sized companies can exploit the economic potential of digitization. The program offers financial grants and aims to encourage companies to invest more in digital technologies and in the qualification of their employees.

More and more medium-sized companies are recognizing: Digitization opens up new economic opportunities. In addition, digital technologies enable new business models, intelligent work and production processes, more effective customer acquisition and better networking, for example with suppliers. Digital skills and digitally trained employees are therefore a decisive factor for economic success.

“Medium-sized companies in particular can benefit from the digital age. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy supports you with the new funding program "Digital Now" in the digitization of business processes and the development of new business models "
Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy

Registration is currently closed due to large number of applications submitted. Registration will be possible again from the 15th of the next month.

Users who are already registered can further prepare and save the application in the Digital Jetzt funding portal and submit it, probably on the 1st of the following month, until the quota for submitted applications has been reached. You can find out the exact time on the BMWi website (www.bmwi.de/digitaljetzt).

The Digital Now funding program runs until the end of 2023. A total of 203 million euros are available for the program. 40 million euros are available by the end of 2020. So it is high time for all small to mid-sized SMEs to adapt to digitization and partner up with companies providing services like Reverse Engineering. One such partner company is Mako GmbH and you can find out all the information about the company’s services here.

Submit funding application

Medium-sized companies from all industries with 3 to 499 employees who are planning a digitization project can apply for funding.

The providers and service providers behind the digital.jetzt initiative are in contact with one another so that applications are more likely to be approved.

The application consists of a digitization plan, the De Minimis declaration and sample offers. The donor reviews and approves the application. The company is implementing this with its partners. The proof of use consists of a factual report and evidence (paid invoices) for the provision of services.

After the proof of use has been checked, the payment is made to the company.

Our partner companies are happy to work out the digitization plan with you. Please note that the application must be submitted before the digitization project begins.

Join the Digital Jetzt funding program

Digital Now will check for you whether you can apply for an increased funding rate. This is the case, for example, when investments are made in IT security or value-added networks are created.

The grant is a grant that does not have to be repaid. The grant is paid out after a successful proof of use check. The measures should be implemented in 12 months.

You can join the partner network here.
